Privacy Policy
Privacy information for DogMind Journal.
Current version
Version 1.0. Effective July 17, 2026.
Effective date: July 17, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how DogMind Journal handles personal data for the V1 public website. DogMind Journal is operated by Luboslav Janosik, a natural person based in Slovakia. For privacy questions, contact lubjan40@gmail.com.
DogMind Journal is a public educational website about dog behavior. It provides English articles, glossary entries, topic pages, public video records, source references, an email-delivered checklist resource, and a newsletter signup.
DogMind Journal does not provide public user accounts, public authentication, payments, memberships, VIP services, uploads, personalized behavior reviews, veterinary diagnosis, treatment, personalized training plans, or emergency support.
Data Processed In V1
DogMind Journal itself does not maintain a local subscriber database and does not store newsletter subscriber records in Sanity.
Depending on how a visitor uses the website, the following data may be processed:
- newsletter signup information submitted through Kit, such as an email address
and subscription status;
- technical request and security data processed by Vercel to host, secure, and
deliver the website;
- content-administration data processed by Sanity for the CMS and Studio;
- ordinary browser request information needed to load public pages;
- data processed by YouTube or Google when a visitor chooses to play an
embedded YouTube video or open a video on YouTube;
- correspondence sent to the public legal contact email.
The website does not include a public contact form. The contact page can display a public email link only when a public contact email is configured.
Newsletter And Checklist Delivery
The Dog Behavior Context Checklist is delivered through the Kit newsletter flow. The newsletter page can load the native Kit form script and can link to a hosted Kit form. Kit manages form submission, confirmation, subscriber status, email delivery, unsubscribe handling, and checklist delivery.
The legal basis for newsletter subscription is consent. A subscriber may withdraw consent by using the unsubscribe link included in newsletter messages or by sending a request to lubjan40@gmail.com.
DogMind Journal does not create a custom newsletter API, does not store subscriber records locally, and does not expose a direct PDF download URL on the website.
Contact Requests
If a visitor sends an email to the public legal contact address, DogMind Journal processes the information included in that message to read, respond to, manage follow-up, protect legal interests, and meet applicable obligations.
Hosting, Security, And Diagnostics
Vercel is used to host and deliver the website. Vercel may process technical request data, network data, security data, logs, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, deliver, and troubleshoot the site.
DogMind Journal relies on legitimate interests for necessary website operation, security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
Content Administration
Sanity is used for content administration and content infrastructure. Sanity stores and serves content records used by the public website and supports the Sanity Studio used by the site administrator. Public visitors do not receive Sanity Studio access.
YouTube Videos
DogMind Journal may display public video records and privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds. The implementation does not load the YouTube iframe until a visitor chooses to play a video. Visitors can also open videos directly on YouTube. YouTube and Google may process data according to their own terms and privacy notices when the visitor interacts with those services.
Analytics, Advertising, CAPTCHA, Fonts, And Third-Party Scripts
The repository includes support for Vercel Web Analytics, but analytics only load in production when explicitly enabled. The current launch state does not enable production analytics and does not add custom analytics events containing personal information.
The V1 implementation does not include advertising pixels, CAPTCHA, public authentication providers, payment processors, upload services, or custom marketing trackers. Fonts are loaded through the Next.js font implementation, not by adding a public Google Fonts browser request in the rendered page.
Cookies And Similar Technologies
The public website does not intentionally add non-essential tracking cookies in the current V1 launch state. Authenticated Sanity preview uses preview-only cookies for local or authorized draft review; those cookies are not ordinary public production cookies.
The newsletter page loads a third-party Kit form script when the form is configured. YouTube embeds use the privacy-enhanced `youtube-nocookie.com` domain and the iframe loads only after a visitor chooses to play a video. See the Cookie Policy for the current cookie classification.
Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until consent is withdrawn or the subscription is otherwise terminated, subject to limited records required to respect suppression or unsubscribe requests and applicable legal obligations.
Contact correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage follow-up, protect legal interests, or meet applicable obligations.
Technical and security records are retained according to the applicable service configuration and provider terms. Content-administration records are retained as needed to manage the website, preserve editorial history, and meet operational or legal obligations.
International Transfers And Third Parties
DogMind Journal uses third-party services that may process data in countries outside Slovakia or the European Economic Area. Current provider documentation for Kit, Vercel, Sanity, and Google / YouTube provides more information about their transfer practices, subprocessors, and applicable safeguards.
Rights
Depending on applicable law, visitors and subscribers may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of their personal data, and may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To make a privacy request, contact lubjan40@gmail.com.
Educational Boundary
DogMind Journal publishes general educational editorial content. It does not assess an individual dog, diagnose medical or behavioral conditions, provide treatment, provide personalized training plans, or replace veterinary care or qualified local professional support.
